Talk Abstract

Masonic research can lead a knowledge-seeker down unexpected pathways of discovery. The journey began on getting off an airplane in Ottawa and finding an unusual Masonic symbol hidden in plain sight in a rack of local tourist brochures. Exploring that path has led to learning about artifacts of the fur trade and Freemasons in the Iroquois tribes, discovering a very personal connection with the Battle of Long Island, learning about how Paul Revere made money, and more.
